The Engineering team at NNBC functions to serve our customers in a variety of ways. We are the go-to people for new product design, tooling design, machinery design, and process improvement. With a database of well over 10,000 drawings, our office is the hub for all new activity within the plant. We maintain off-site duplicates of all of our drawings and records to assure that these assets are never lost or damaged.
Rapid Prototyping
If one of our stock closures or applicators does not completely suit your needs, we would be happy to custom design a product for you. From hand sketch to virtual model to physical prototype to finished product, we have the tools, knowledge, and creativity to transform your idea for a closure or applicator into a highly marketable product. Utilizing the latest in 3-D CAD technology, we are able to capture your vision and produce drawings and/or prototypes within a remarkably short period of time. You will be able to see exactly what a design will look like before any steel is cut for tooling. This process allows for quick and easy revisions and refinements to the proposed product during the design stages.
Our unique product line often lends itself to the need for custom designed machinery to achieve the most efficient means of manufacture. We design and build these machines in-house. We have developed a close working relationship with several high-precision machine shops for both machine parts and tooling.
